Anonymous: Hello Fernanda ^~^ I just dyed my hair blue recently. My hair is quickly turning grey now. Is it possible for me to dye my hair pink without bleaching my hair again? ^_^

Hello ~

It is and you don’t necessarily have to use bleach. If you’re patient, just washing your hair as you usually do will fade out the colour, which should be really fast since blue/grey disappears really easily. If not, just substituting body wash for shampoo will strip the colour (you can do the same with dandruff removing/fortifying shampoos) and lather it in until your hair turns blonde, but I really wouldn’t suggest doing this too often.

Pretty much, once it fades out completely, you can just put in the pink.

Anonymous: how'd you get your parents to let you dye your hair pinkk, how'd your school react i love your hair ;~;

Uhhh

I slowly brought my hair down from brown/pink dip dye > blonde over three or so months, so they didn’t really notice that it was getting lighter. Then all of a sudden, I turned it pink and they freaked out and now, a year later, they’re use to it ~

There were a few people with odd coloured hair already, so people didn’t really care. But they were surprised because… it’s pink. The school itself is pretty lenient about hair… when it comes to me… for some reason.

Anonymous: another random question about pink hair(if you don't mind): I'm thinking about getting SFX, since I've heard they last the longest, but they seem soo bright and I want a more pastel-y shade.. can you control how bright it turns out, maybe if you leave it in for less time? and also, I wanna ask, do you know where to get them from? please and thank you^^

For pastel shades, mix your dye with conditioner until you reach the shade you want (you can do this with any colour). But keep in mind that doing this will also decrease the lasting power of your dye.

They don’t sell it where I live, but I’ve seen a few sellers on Ebay with SFX and other brands ~

There’s also my (unfinished) hair dye faq to refer to~

Yeah, it is. I literally placed each of them on top of the other on paint and there was no difference.

Anonymous: what's it like to have pink hair? I'm thinking of dying my ends pink... any tips?

Pink hair is heaps fun to have! But by having such an outrageous hair colour, you often get disapproving stares from others.

(Was that pun intended or am I the only one who sees that? omg)

- Assuming you need to bleach your ends, start out small, that way if you don’t like the look of it, you can easily chop it off.

- Try not to shampoo your ends as the pink will fade, a lot. Or even worse, it could disappear entirely. Similarly, you can add a little dye into your shampoo/conditioner, which acts as a refresher and extends the dye’s staying power.

- Try getting your hands on SFX Atomic Pink, I’ve heard that stuff is definitely worth your money (and lasts for aaaaages).

- Use your fingers (+gloves) as opposed to a brush. Unnatural coloured dyes are expensive! Also remember that a little goes a long way, and you can also buy a darker shade of dye which you dilute with white/clear conditioner to create lighter shades.
